 I have know about Carl for around three years. I found his Super Human Radio radio show on a forum for bodybuilders and weight lifters around  2007. I’m am not body builder but over the years i have found that if you want to get ripped, or just get a good knowledge of real nutrition, these people to go to. Through these forums I have also found information  about diet and nutrition that has amazed me. Carl’s show’s are unique and cover a wide range of subjects, and you will regularly find leading scientists, industry specialists, and top sports people being interviewed. You will also find controversial views on male HRT, government polices, nutrition and supplementation.

   Carl has rallied against the way the health system works in the US, against the H1N1 inoculations that the government was trying to enforce on the public (remember the swine flu farce? ) and so much more.   I have Carl to thank personally for opening my eyes to many subjects but also for providing me with 100’s of hours of entertainment , my  three hour daily round-trips to work and back would be far more annoying if I didn’t have these shows on my ipod to listen too!

 With his child like enthusiasm for his subjects Carl will regularly experiment on himself with new supplement, trainning and diet  routines. His energy comes across on his radio show and you can tell he walks the walk as well as talking the talk. Without further ado, below is Carl’s bio and some some links to his broadcasting page. An Introduction to Carl Lanore


Carl Lanore began his journey into fitness and longevity after being diagnosed with an irreversible arrhythmia in 1998. At a body weight of well over 300 pounds his health, like many American’s living the Western lifestyle, had suffered. At the low point of his life, a young man of 40 years old, he was faced with the greatest challenge of his life – To Save His Own Life.

His journey is not unlike millions of other Americans who woke up to find they had been led down a path of certain dependence upon a medical system that is flawed and a parasitic pharmaceutical agenda. He chose a different path. A path of Physical Culture and Proper Nutrition. Many of us say we eat “healthy” but who dictates what healthy eating is today? The Government Food Pyramid tells us to eat lots of cereals, grains, and corn with only small amounts of protein and fat. But when you look at the way Paleolithic Humans ate, it was the complete opposite. Lanore states the reason Paleolithic Humans are important to look at is that they are the last group of Humans to eat the way we are genetically predisposed to eat – before marketing and the agricultural revolution.

His journey into saving his own life gave birth to a zealot who was disenchanted and angered by the lies being sold to Americans about their health, their diets and their need for pharmaceutical drugs to stay alive. A radio talk show host is born! At a party during the Christmas holiday Lanore found himself surrounded by a group of people. When the usual discussion about “losing weight after the holidays were over” arose, he revealed that he had lost one hundred pounds, the group wanted advice. What’s the secret? A gentleman listing to the discussion approached Lanore after the group had disbanded and asked if he ever thought about doing a radio show. He identified a passion in Lanore that he believed would carry over to a listening audience. Lanore modestly admitted that he didn’t like to hear his own voice and wondered why others would feel differently. The gentleman asked him to give it a try and meet with someone at the local Clear Channel studio in Louisville Kentucky. The rest is history!

Today Lanore hosts the Super Human Radio show which now plays to an International audience of listeners via AOL’s new digital Network SHOUTcast. Hundreds of thousands of listeners around the globe have tuned in for his discussions with expert guest over the years. His show reveals the flaws and fallacies in today’s Western diet, its linkage to the diseases we fight against, the need for Physical Culture in the form of regular daily exercise, supplements that remove the need for pharmaceutical drugs and the importance of hormones as we age. The motto of the show – “Live Stronger. Live Longer” is his mantra and he walks the walk as well. He trains almost daily with heavy resistance training methods, eats a Paleolithic style diet, began hormone replacement therapy in 2007, uses the supplements he talks about and has turned back the biological clock of his body. When asked he will tell you that he is stronger and in better health today than when he was in his late 20’s.

Emails arrive almost daily from people who have followed the show and employed its messages in their own lives. Weight loss, increased health, reversal of disease and a return to a life where energy and wellbeing abound are all the things his listeners thank him for.

When asked what his mission is, Lanore responded – “No matter what religious theology you subscribe to, we have this one life right now and we want to make it the best life we can. We want to live long healthy lives. Something as simple as not getting straddled with avoidable disease is our right and not a privilege. There are powers at work, sinister or not, that are standing in our way. I plan to expose them so people can make good informed choices that will impact their lives”. 


So there you have it. A zealot, an enthusiast, an inspiration to many. I have Carl and Super Human radio to thank for opening my eyes to many things and still today after 100’s of hours of shows I am continue to learn.   As a modest man you wont find too many youtube clips featuring Carl but go to Facebook and add him as a friend and you can see what he looks like today at the young age of 52!   Many male regular gym goers in their 20’s would be impressed and a little jealous!

But there are very good grounds for using honey as a therapeutic agent of first choice.” .

Researchers believe that the therapeutic potential of honey is grossly underutilized. With increasing interest in the use of alternative therapies and as the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria spreads, honey may finally receive its due recognition as a wound healer. .

Indeed, it works: Raw honey makes a sterile, painless and effective wound dressing. Apply it directly to open cuts, abrasions and burns, and cover it with a piece of gauze. The results will occur quicker than with conventional alternatives, such as salves and creams. .

Honey is also exceptionally effective for respiratory ailments. One Bulgarian study of almost 18,000 patients found that it improved chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis, chronic and allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. It’s an effective treatment for colds, flu, respiratory infections and a generally depressed immune system. Whereas sugar shuts down the immune system, a good quality honey will stimulate it into action. .

Here are some more ways to utilize the healing power of honey: .

BURNS – Apply freely over burns. It cools, removes pain and aids fast healing without scarring. Apart from being a salve and an antibiotic, bacteria simply cannot survive in honey. .

BED WETTING – A teaspoon of honey before bed aids water retention and calms fears in children. .

INSOMNIA – A dessertspoon of honey in a mug of warm milk aids sleep and works wonders. .

HYPERACTIVITY – Replace all use of white sugar with honey. White sugar is highly stimulating with no food qualities. Honey provides the energy without the “spike.” .

NASAL CONGESTION – Place a dessertspoon of honey in a basin of water and inhale fumes after covering your head with a towel over the basin. Very effective! .

FATIGUE – Dissolve a dessertspoon of honey in warm water or quarter honey balance of water in a jug and keep in the fridge. Honey is primarily fructose and glucose, so it’s quickly absorbed by the digestive system. POOR DIGESTION – Mix honey with an equal quantity of apple cider vinegar and dilute to taste with water. This is also wonderful for the joints – and promotes weight loss. .

HAIR CONDITIONER – Mix honey with an equal quantity of olive oil, cover head with a warm tower for half an hour then shampoo off. Feeds hair and scalp. Your hair will never look or feel better! .

SORE THROATS – Let a teaspoon of honey melt in the back of the mouth and trickle down the throat. Eases inflamed raw tissues. .

FOR STRESS – Honey in water is a stabilizer, calming highs and raising lows. Use approximately 25 percent honey to water. .

ANEMIA – Honey is the best blood enricher by raising corpuscle content. The darker the honey, the more minerals it contains. .

FOOD PRESERVATIVE – If you replace the sugar in cake and cookie recipes with honey, they’ll stay fresher longer due to honey’s natural antibacterial properties. Reduce liquids in the mixture by about one-fifth to allow for the moisture present in the in honey. .

BABY’S BOTTLE – Four teaspoons of honey to a baby’s bottle of water is an excellent pacifier and multivitamin additive. If the baby’s motions are too liquid, then reduce the honey by half a teaspoon; if too solid increase by half a teaspoon. (Caution: Don’t give raw honey to babies under 1 year old; it’s just too rich.) For teething, honey rubbed on a baby’s gums is also a mild sedative and anesthetic. .

OSTEOPOROSIS – Research has shown that a teaspoon of honey per day aids calcium utilization and prevents osteoporosis – probably not a bad idea for anyone over 50. .

LONGEVITY – The most long-lived people in the world are all regular users of honey. An interesting fact, yet to be explained, is that beekeepers suffer less from cancer and arthritis than any other occupational group worldwide. .

MIGRAINE – Use a dessertspoon of honey dissolved in half a glass of warm water. Sip at the start of a migraine attack, and, if necessary, repeat after another 20 minutes. .

CONJUNCTIVITIS – Dissolve honey in an equal quantity of warm water. When cooled, apply as a lotion or eye bath. .

COUGH MIXTURE – Combine 6 ounces (170 grams) liquid honey, 2 ounces (55 grams) glycerin and the juice of two lemons. Mix well. Bottle and cork firmly, and use as required. .

Raw honey may become granulated, as some does after a week and another maybe only after several years. If the granulations bother you, simply place the honey into a pan of hot water (not boiling) and let it stand until becoming liquid again

Coconuts for many people are what we have in the occasional curry or cocktail, but for millions of people covering many countries, religions and cultures, the humble coconut is a source of food, medicine and / or revenue. There are may websites claiming to sell the purest grade virgin coconut oil that will help to loose fat, fight infections, ease eczema, soften your hair, improve your skin and much more. 

   I have personally never had the pleasure of using pure Virgin (unrefined) Coconut oil.  When I first read about coconut oil I went out and bought a tub only to find it was refined and didn’t posses the fine health building properties that the unrefined oil has. I will get around to purchasing some good quality Virgin oil and I will report back with my results.  Until then, I can tell you that Coconut oil does contain lauric acid, which is known for being anti-viral, antibacterial and anti-fungal. Lauric acid is a MCT (medium chain triglycerides) and is used fast and effectively by the body and does not seem to raise cholesterol.

Coconut Oil

While coconut possesses many health benefits due to its fiber and nutritional content, it’s the oil that makes it a truly remarkable food and medicine.

Once mistakenly believed to be unhealthy because of its high saturated fat content, it is now known that the fat in coconut oil is a unique and different from most all other fats and possesses many health giving properties. It is now gaining long overdue recognition as a nutritious health food.

Coconut oil has been described as “the healthiest oil on earth.” That’s quite a remarkable statement. What makes coconut oil so good? What makes it different from all other oils, especially other saturated fats?

The difference is in the fat molecule. All fats and oils are composed of molecules called fatty acids. There are two methods of classifying fatty acids. The first you are probably familiar with, is based on saturation. You have saturated fats, monounsaturated fats, and polyunsaturated fats. Another system of classification is based on molecular size or length of the carbon chain within each fatty acid. Fatty acids consist of long chains of carbon atoms with hydrogen atoms attached. In this system you have short-chain fatty acids (SCFA), medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA), and long-chain fatty acids (LCFA). Coconut oil is composed predominately of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA), also known as medium-chain triglycerides (MCT).

The vast majority of fats and oils in our diets, whether they are saturated or unsaturated or come from animals or plants, are composed of long-chain fatty acids (LCFA). Some 98 to 100% of all the fatty acids you consume are LCFA.

The size of the fatty acid is extremely important. Why? Because our bodies respond to and metabolize each fatty acid differently depending on its size. So the physiological effects of MCFA in coconut oil are distinctly different from those of LCFA more commonly found in our foods. The saturated fatty acids in coconut oil are predominately medium-chain fatty acids. Both the saturated and unsaturated fat found in meat, milk, eggs, and plants (including most all vegetable oils) are composed of LCFA.

MCFA are very different from LCFA. They do not have a negative effect on cholesterol and help to protect against heart disease. MCFA help to lower the risk of both atherosclerosis and heart disease. It is primarily due to the MCFA in coconut oil that makes it so special and so beneficial.

There are only a very few good dietary sources of MCFA. By far the best sources are from coconut and palm kernel oils.

Tony Pantallresco  “Just A Guy That knows Some Stuff”


It was about two years ago whilst looking for information on natural ways to fight and beat cancer that I came across Tony Pantalleresco on YouTube. I had been scouring the web and becoming increasingly frustrated with all the scam web sites out there, promising miracle cures for cash. I then heard a radio show hosted by Carl Lanore on Super Human Radio about a man using a ginger extract to fight and rid his body of a cancerous tumour.   My hopes were revitalised so I did some more searching about and found Tony Pantalleresco on youtube under the name Herbsplusandbeadswork. I spoke to Tony for many hours on MSN, and I watched all of his YouTube videos. Tony gave me so much information, and good advice (all free) that opened my eyes to so many things that I was hooked. I listened to his shows on The Micro effect. and I loved them. One thing that stands out for me is that Tony has no agenda. He is not tied to any particular company or organization, he does not push any particular brands of supplements. Tony is continuously researching for the truth, that’s it, with no bias.

 Anyone that gives out free information,  has no particular  ‘angle’  or sales pitch,  and works 18 hours a day  looking for what work is OK in my books. Tony has been in  and around the supplement  industry for  many  years and has seen all the usual fads and scams come and go and then come around again.  Tony spends hours researching and experimenting with herbs, spices, foods, supplements, and much more, you can find the results of all his alchemy on his website and youtube videos which you can find links for at the bottom of this page. I could not get Tony to write some information about himself  such is his nature, so below is an interview I had with Tony online. 

  Enjoy it and check out  his website, youtube and I would also suggest having a consultation with him for any on going health problems you may have that the Doctors have failed at curing for you (do Doctors cure anything these days or just hide symptoms??)  I paid a very very reasonable donation (VERY reasonable especially when you compare to any naturopath or even herbalist) and I spoke with Tony for a long time via msn (I’m in the UK and he is in Canada) and then he answered months of questions at no extra cost. (I can’t say for a fact that he will have time to do this for every one but you definitely get help far and beyond what you may expect.)

Tony: My background is I am a North American  with a Mediterranean background born in Michigan and reside in Ontario–Have  Duality with 2 countries—parents were born in Malta a british commonwealth country at the time so that entitles me to as well  to a UK membership if I ever were to choose—got into health when I was 18 –at that time there was a huge controversy due to ignorance on steroid `dangers–and at the time I was athletic and playing sports and trained—so I began searching and studying all I could on foods and how they work and herbs and the super foods of the day –bee pollen–spirulina–protein powders ( which at that time needed a cement mixer to mix and dynamite to swallow) to have a naturally strong body without steroids—today I would have used exoboline and anavar at that time if I knew then what I know now-Knowing on how they assist in the assimilating of proteins for strength and muscle—but during those day there was hardly anything in the health stores—today I would say 80-90% of it is all smoke screen and mirrors—especially in the body building end of it—so then there was the studying of different cultures and the herbs and then the experimentation with different formulas—and eventually came up with my own remedies and what I seen was a good mix and seen good results–it showed in my performance in the street hockey and football games I used to play.



LLLS:  Who was inspirational to you when you started out and who do you recommend people listen to other than yourself today?

Tony:  Who was inspirational? I would say seeing the athletes of the day and seeing the real power these guys had with out all the gimmickry like today —was what inspired me to train and get more into health
LLLS:  I have read allot about how we are historically meat eaters and do better without any starchy carbs and sugars, but I have also read books from so called experts that say when we were cavemen, we used to pick lots of fruit and berries and ate little meat and not very often.  It is theorised that we lost the enzyme in our livers long ago  which gave us the ability to produce Vitamin C as a stress response like most other mammals, because of the vit c containing fruit that we ate in abundance. what is your opinions on this?
Tony: Again all Bunk and theory–it amazes me how these studies come about—and it’s usually to sell an angle on a eating life style so some ass can sell a bogus line or lines of leftover industry product to the unsuspecting public—again with the vitamin C some say It was God’s way of saying no more living forever so we lost the ability—again bunk—some say what you implied  again this is to sell a life style so someone in those echelons can make money and keep people ignorant–the real truth of the matter is that we all came from differing origins –and as a result we all developed a genetic disposition to what ever foods were or are consumed to this day —now if you are lacking enzymes in the system or if you can process specific foods with no issue —that might imply genetics—or it might imply a Robust digestive system or a weak one—we are omnivores and by design we can consume either foods so it all depends allot on environment and life style and digestive system efficiency or deficiency
LLLS: So what are your views on the diet that we should be eating? Are you a /caveman/atkins love carb believer? Or a lots of fruit and veg guy? Or a zone dieter? And what are your opinions on the current food pyramid that the governments have us believe is a health way to eat?
Tony:  Food pyramids designed by Gov’ts are designed to make people ill and cause disease–any system that would put sugar ( carb) at the top of the food chain is asking for nothing but trouble—the best diet to use—is the one that works for you—again all these systems that are out there are again based on marketing and sales not fact–maybe nutraceutical marketing science—but the reality is if you live somewhere where it is cold you are going to eat more meat and fat to maintain health and strength—if you live where it is hot again you will eat based on that environment so your foods will have a tendency to be light and with allot of water so a fruit or vege type diet with little animal protein would be the way—where you work and how you work will also determine the regimen of food and what you will eat to maintain health—so again it is relative to who is doing what and where—now the one consensus anyone with any slat to them would say is that junk foods and candy coated pasteurized foods are not something anyone should eat—soy is something again in my estimation no one should eat–canola and other foods from GMO farms again no one should eat—based on all the real science going on globally—no one should eat these foods–buying protein bars loaded with soy is the biggest waste of time and the most efficient way to cause ill health to your immune system and organs–so again any foods such as this should not be fed to kids whatsoever —
LLLS: Where do you stand on the controversial subjects such as GMO foods? Are the good and here to save us all from starving? Or the next biggest cause of premature death and diseases such as cancer, heart disease ?
Tony: GMO–GE=== *&^% in a box–answer the question adequately I think
LLLS:  We have spoken before about people that come to you at your shop suffering with cancer, and you have seen them months later completely cancer free. Many people will think this is can’t be true, such is the main stream thinking on cancer. can you tell us a bit about this and methods you use to help these people?
Tony: The method is simple –stop the poison from going in the gullet and mouth—use things that clean the mutated cells—and know it is nothing more then any other infirmary that the body can have and beat nothing complicated —we give out 3 things that are herbal and supplement  in nature and give a protocol of things that can be done and things to stop doing–Main stream would have you believe that this dis—ease is the epitomy of death and it is not true at all—they would have you believe that you go into remission and never clear cancer –all BS—that would mean that if you caught a cold and got over it you went into remission because the following year you may get it again—All BS—you can get over cancer and be C-U-R-E-D or H-E-A-L-E-D but that does not mean you cannot get it again or again –met people who beat cancer –got it again years later–beat it again and got it again several years later—did it go into remission ? NO it meant he had been re-infected or re contaminated with whatever caused the cancer in the first place—no different if you eat a huge bunch of sugar and the next day are sniffling and having a runny nose—you get over it and then repeat the behaviour on the sugar and again the same symptom reoccurs—again the biggest deceit of the century –if you put stuff in you that increases fungal -bacterial-viral-chemical-metal–and over whelm the immune system —you will have all the recipe to get cancer–no different the if I put my hand on a stove when it is on high heat I will get burned. 
LLLS: Although there are almost always multiple reasons for people getting sick in today’s world,in your opinion what are the top Five leading causes of sickness and disease?
Tony: 1) Doctors -they who infect people with needles ( direct correlation of vaccinations and cancer ) prescribing addictive drugs to suppress symptoms instead of seeing the cause and actually freeing someone from bondage of disease–in my opinion all are testosterone deficient people who do not oppose the religion of medicine for fear of losing a piece of paper called a license
2)Corporate Farming-force feeding animals and infecting them with high steroids and antibiotics and feeding them grains instead of grasses or loading them with soy and the derivative of soy MSG in the feed to further addict an unsuspecting public to fertilize grasses with ebola and other negative bacterial culture and the using GMO and roundups that cause more poison in the farms and indirectly causing the vegetarians to get their daily dose of “organic wasteand now nano particles
3 )Industrial and Manufacturing Pollutants–un regulated dumping in land and water and air and we are exposed to an overload of these contaminants from xenoestrogens to toxic waste and now Chemtrails 
4) Gov’t –don’t know about you but they make me ill all the time- the regulations and the laws to stop people to have access to health of choice and to stop people from growing gardens and being really free to heal themselves
5)Television–always selling poison and telling us where to buy what t buy and sell us more crap and junk that clutter our lives and cause internal clutter as well–selling toxic chemicals for Hygien products–toxic soaps that break us down while we sweat-processed foods laden with soy and other GE and GMO monstrosities

LLLS: I know that you use nutrition and herbs/spices to help bring people back to health, do you prefer the ancient methods or philosophy of herbalism or the more modern scientific approach which is often referred to as Botanical medicine or Phyto therapy?
Tony: I use whatever Works–ancient stuff mostly or anything pre 1980 anything after this is all a crap shoot unless you can find credible studies that are unbiased and unadulterated,  a  toughie, but still can be done  I do use current stuff as well but like I said whatever Works!!!
 LLLS: What is your top 10 list of herbs to improve health?
Tony:  hahahah–Whatever works for you—but the Number one thing I give is Enzymes then FOOD–after this Vitamin C–after this Garlic–Rosemary—Thyme–Nootropics—Heart Supporting Supplement/Herb/food-Iodine–B1–Sulphur based Foods or herbs—Parsley-Plantain-Nettle–Vinegar–Wine–No Beer ahaha–I threw this in I know you like beer-haha
LLLS :What is your opinion on the omega 3 fats that people are now being told to mega dose to cure/prevent multiple disease?
Tony: Waste of Money and ALL BS!!  Pure Bullocks as they say in the UK and the commonwealth Pure Bullocks—these oils oxidize quicker in the system after 4 years of use they actually cause Heart Failure–and in the interim will cause cholesterol issues -and Like I said  by-product waste sold to the health industry so the nationals do not have to pay to clean there waste up—you become the garbage dump
 LLLS :  What are your top 10 tips for staying disease free?
 Tony: impossible—but you can increase the odds and the efficiency of your bodies to defend against the break down  of disease– or rather dis—- ease no such thing as a disease again another mind bender to get us to play sick so we can be fed drugs—the thing is whatever you do wherever you live and how you live will determine the regimen you may find work for you–the things I would tell you to avoid to increase and maintain Vitality would be 
1) Sugar
2 )SOY
3) Canola
5) Supplements or proteins containing sweeteners such as aspartame-sucrolose (splenda) aceslfame K- HFCS-high fructose corn syrup 
6) Box-bagged-Canned foods –most have soy or soy derivatives or canola oil- msg- hfsc-disodium guaylate disodium inosinate–Toxic as all hell- there are exceptions to this as far as canned goods but even the foods in them would have to be neutralized and prepared to make safe for consumption —but then again it would depend on what the foods are
7)-Colouring agents-Plastics
8) pork and pork by-products 
9)anything that says artificial flavour or natural flavour -these are usually soy or some unknown waste and since you do not know what it is why eat it
 10)  being a total vegan–seen more people with this life style get tanked –ill or totally broken–you have to have some animal protein or you do not get taurine and as a result heart- eye -brain–insulin functions and liver go to the crapper—and if your system has to manufacturer something that is more work for the internals as a result it cuts the body’s life force not increase it—for a short time to do this type of diet -say 3 months -may actually be healthy as a result of detoxing the body of excesses—but for a prolong period then it becomes detrimental—actually seen some one commit suicide as a result of this due to her brain not getting adequate zinc and b12 due to the bleeding off from soy and the lack of animal protein…

Raw milk

So what is raw milk exactly and isn’t it bad from us? I mean that is why we started heating the milk up isn’t it? to make it safer…… The answer is yes and a big fat NO! The vitamins and minerals are severely depleted when we pasteurize milk, and then the homogenized process pounds the milk until the fat molecules are broken down and suspended constantly throughout the milk. This gives the milk a consistent colour and stops the fat separating and floating to the top. This process may make the milk look good but it is not good for us and can make the once healthy fats, very unhealthy.

I have personally used raw milk and love the stuff! it is hard to get hold of as you can only buy direct from a farmer and it cannot be re-sold so shops cannot sell it. Many people don’t realize that raw milk has many benefits. It can make you healthier, help you grow properly, and it contains many of the vitamins and enzymes you need to live a healthy life.

Raw milk is rich in enzymes and contains all 22 of the essential amino acids, the building blocks of life1, including phosphate. Phosphate is essential for the absorption of calcium and is plentifully present in raw milk but is completely destroyed by pasteurization. Phosphatase is an essential agent to the proper development of a strong skeletal structure. The enzyme lipase is also present in raw milk. Lipase aids in the digestion of fats. It is destroyed by pasteurization as well. 2. Lactase, an enzyme that helps with milk digestion and in the digestion of lactose, is in raw milk3. “; Raw milk is also an excellent source of vitamins particularly vitamin B12, a necessary vitamin that is difficult to find in non-meat sources1. Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland found that raw milk contains 2 1/2 times more of the enzyme lgG than pasteurized milk. This important enzyme inhibits rotavirus organisms that cause diarrhea in infants. Natural vitamin C is 33% higher in fresh raw milk than in pasteurized milk 2. Many people don’t realize that vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, and enzyme inhibitors that kill pathogens are all destroyed by pasteurization. 2 Francis Pottenger, M.D. proved that raw milk reversed scurvy. Raw milk naturally has enzyme-based pathogen killers. These enzymes include lactoferrin, xanthine, oxidase, lactoperoxidase, lysozyme and nisin. Research has shown that when pathogens were added to raw milk they would not grow. The salmonella could not be found after less than 24 hours. The listeria and the E. Coli would not grow either.3 Thus, research has shown that raw milk contains enzymes and antibodies that make milk actually less susceptible to bacterial contamination. Dr. Crew used raw milk therapy on people with advanced cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and they improved rapidly. John Fowler M.D., Worcester Massachusetts, reported relief of muscle cramps in pregnancy.   • Fats: (research studies indicate that fats are necessary to metabolize protein and calcium. All natural protein-bearing foods contain fats.)
    All 18 fatty acids metabolically available, both saturated and unsaturated fats. Altered by heat, especially the 10 essential unsaturated fats.

I. In nearly 40 years, millions of people drank over 3 billion glasses of Alta Dena Dairy raw milk and there was not one epidemic, not one proved case of food borne illness because of it.

II. Raw milk produced under gross conditions has not been proved to be the cause of an epidemic. No one been maimed by drinking raw milk. (p. 14-17.) Until 1950, raw milk commonly contained bacterial counts of 3 million ml and 200 ml pathogens, compared to 10,000 ml and 10 ml pathogens now, and there were no epidemics that proved to be caused by raw milk, proving that raw milk is not harmful when containing many pathogens (p. 15, ¶ 2-3) even when used as a preservative for raw meat (p. 21).

III. A review the cases DHS cited in their Report, p. 4, shows a total of 156 cases from 1973 until 1992, but no outbreaks or epidemics attributed to raw milk. Let’s say that that figure was valid, although it is not, as explained above: 156 cases ¸ 19 years = 5.6 cases each year attributed to raw milk. That is the lowest incidence of any animal product produced. However, there is extensive evidence showing that pasteurization is a great health risk to the public, having caused numerous epidemics. One pasteurized-milk epidemic involved 200 people, another 468 people, another 1,492, another 16,284, another 17,000, and another 197,000 people. In each incident the product was from a single source producer. In the years 1978-1997 there were 232,485 people who suffered due to outbreaks from pasteurized milk. (p. 5-7.) If we were to disregard all of the other outbreaks from pasteurized milk and consider only those listed on pages 5-8, we have: 232,485 cases ¸ 19 years = 12,236 people effected each year from bacteria in pasteurized milk. In almost all cases, CDC reported that investigation showed proper pasteurization. CDC’s figures and CDC’s conclusion that ” pasteurization provides assurances against infection”, are contradictory and untrustworthy. Considering that CDC attributed only 4% of food borne illness to milk consumed in the same bulk as other foods, it is the safest product to consume and does not merit the prejudice that it receives. But as the facts state, pasteurized milk has caused 2,185 times more Food borne illness than was attributed to raw milk.

IV. The decline in raw milk consumption met with a dramatic increase in Salmonella illness, . It could be reasonably argued that the deprivation of raw milk to the public resulted in a loss of natural immunity to bacteria and more people succumbed, and continue to succumb, to bacterial illness. The ill effects to cultural groups from loss of raw milk and allergies to pasteurized milk has been repeatedly studied and confirmed.

Ø Strains of bacteria have become immune to antibacterial agents and humans are becoming more susceptible to bacteria illness. (p. 30, ¶ 6.) Science has proved that humans become immune to bacteria to which they are exposed. Legally and morally, it would be correct to allow people to develop or maintain natural immunity by ingesting them in food-form, especially those who are considered “high risk”. People who buy raw milk are aware that there may be pathogens within it by the Government warning label.

Ø There has been no proof that feeding or contact with raw milk is unsafe or dangerous to infants and children , nor to the “high risk” groups defined by health departments. We are not saying that food-poisoning does not exist. We have no evidence that raw milk has proved to cause any illness in any children and other “at high risk” individuals. Evidence exists that infants and children thrive on raw milk. (p. xx, and Exh. L.) Illnesses in infants have been treated successfully with raw milk for centuries in hospitals and clinics. (p.16-17.) Raw milk reduced infant deaths in hospital by 94%.

Dr. Pottenger elaborated on malnourishment caused by pasteurized dairy

“Can human infants be born of mothers who are deficient, and yet attain a fair degree of skeletal development if given a proper raw milk supply? ,The three infants were born of mothers known to be hypothyroid. Prior to the birth of the infants shown, all three mothers had given birth to children within three years. Each of the previous children was asthmatic, showed infantile rickets, and possessed poor skeletal development. The first child shown in Figure 4 [healthiest-looking] was breast fed from birth, with the mother living under excellent health-promoting conditions. The second child was on powdered milk for four weeks, and on raw certified milk after that without cod-liver oil or orange juice. Both the first and second child began supplemental feedings when they were about five months old and were very healthy babies. The third baby was always sickly and had been on formulae since birth. These formulae included powdered milk, pasteurized milk, boiled milk, boiled certified milk and canned milk. She had suffered from severe gastric distress during her entire infancy and when eight months old she developed asthma. She is very small though her parents are of larger build.[10]

Steinman studied rats.[11] The decay process in rats’ teeth is biologically identical to that in human teeth. He divided his rats into several groups. The control group received a standard nutritious rat chow made by the Purina Company. Steinman discovered that these rats would average less than one cavity for their entire lifetime. The second group received a very heavy refined sugar diet. Although they grew faster than the Purina rats, they averaged 5.6 cavities per rat. The third group was fed “homogenized Grade A pasteurized milk” and they had almost twice as many cavities as the sugar-fed group – 9.4 cavities per animal. Dr. Weston Price in Nutrition and Human Degeneration proved fifty years ago what Steinman showed in 1963: Processed milk leads to disease and premature death.[12] Nizel of Tufts University reported that decayed teeth were four times more common in pasteurized milk-fed babies as opposed to breast-fed babies. Dr. Weston Price, D D.S., proved that processed food, such as pasteurized milk, causes poor development of the facial bones.

The pituitary hormone, TSH, stimulates the thyroid gland. If minute amounts of this pituitary hormone were absorbed daily from unbalanced pasteurized milk, depression of the thyroid gland could eventually result. Low thyroid function has become extremely common in the USA. Some experts estimate that fifty percent of the people over fifty years of age have some degree of low functioning thyroid. Another hormone from the pituitary, ADH, absorbed regularly from pasteurized milk causes water retention. ACTH, a powerful adrenal stimulator, absorbed regularly from pasteurized milk contributes to everything from diabetes and hypertension to Addison’s Disease (adrenal exhaustion), and acne. Several cancers, such as ovarian cancer, have been linked to the consumption of pasteurized dairy products. According to a study by Daniel Cramer, M.D., and colleagues at Harvard, pasteurized dairy-product consumption affects a woman’s ovaries.[24] Some women have particularly low levels of certain enzymes, and when they consume processed dairy products on a regular basis, their risk of ovarian cancer can triple that of other women.

Pasteurized milk is touted for preventing osteoporosis, yet clinical research shows otherwise. The Harvard Nurses’ Health Study, 1997, which followed more than 75,000 women for 12 years, showed no protective effect of increased processed-milk consumption on fracture risk. [31] In fact, increased intake of calcium from pasteurized dairy products was associated with a higher fracture risk. An Australian study showed the same results.[32] Additionally, other studies have found no protective effect of pasteurized dairy calcium on bone.[33]


The British journal The Lancet reported, “Resistance to tuberculosis increased in children fed raw milk instead of pasteurized, to the point that in five years only one case of pulmonary TB had developed, whereas in the previous five years, when children had been given pasteurized milk, 14 cases of pulmonary TB had developed.” Raw milk also contains an anti-viral agent. In 1997, British studies have shown that some mysterious substance in the aqueous portion of the raw milk, below the cream layer, works against viral infections.[49] Formula and boiled milk do not contain this virus-fighting agent. The enzyme lipase aids in the digestion of fats. It is plentiful in raw milk but destroyed by pasteurization. One of the most remarkable and important discoveries in medicine, the incredible healing power of fresh raw milk, goes unnoticed by the medical profession. No one knows who first used raw milk as a therapeutic agent, probably the Egyptians. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, prescribed raw milk for tuberculosis. Dr. J.E. Crewe, from the Mayo Foundation, Rochester , Minnesota , presented his findings on the therapeutic uses of raw milk before the Minnesota State Medical Society in 1923. Dr. Crewe reported, “While milk is widely used and recommended as an article of diet, it is seldom used by regular physicians exclusively as an agent in the treatment of disease. For fifteen years I have employed the so-called [raw] milk treatment in various diseases … the results obtained in various types of illnesses have been so uniformly excellent that one’s conception of disease and its alleviation is necessarily modified.” [52] His report was met with apathy and indifference, saying, “The method itself is so simple that it does not greatly interest medical men.[53] The fact that many diseases are treated and successful results [ignored], leads almost to disrespect.” Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland found that raw cows milk contains 2½ times more of the enzyme lgG than pasteurized milk. This important enzyme inhibits rotavirus organisms that cause diarrhea in infants. It has been known since the earliest days of husbandry that the newborn calf thrives on raw milk. Calves fed pasteurized milk since birth die by the third month. Francis Pottenger, M.D. proved there is deficiency disease, similar to Vitamin C deficiency (scurvy) that can be cured by giving an endocrine product that contains no Vitamin C. He proved that raw milk has this endocrine nutrient and pasteurized milk does not. He proved that raw milk reversed and prevented scurvy. The Bahimas of Africa drink six pints a day.
